 Team O2 - Beyond the Raging Sea

Daring duo Omar Nour and Omar Samra (Team O2) set off in the world’s toughest rowing race in December 2017. But their unsupported 3,000 nautical mile journey from the Spanish Canary Islands to Antigua in a 7m x 1.5m row boat did not go to plan. 9 days into their adventure, Team O2’s row boat capsized and failed to self-right 800km off the coast of Africa.

The next 12 hours turned into a survival story of epic proportions.

Following their dramatic rescue, Nour and Samra announced ‘Beyond the Raging Sea’ – a documentary by globally-renowned director Marco Orsini which tells the story of their perilous Atlantic crossing attempt and fight for survival. The documentary raises awareness of the plight of many refugees who are forced to cross bodies of water in a bid for safe refuge. The film was featured in the 71st Cannes Film Festival, and in early 2020, it was announced the documentary is set for wide theatrical release across MENA via Vox Cinemas

F31 delivered the PR and social media for Team O2’s Atlantic challenge in the UAE, as well as consulted on Team O2’s commercial structure and stakeholder management.

ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi

The World Triathlon Series brings the world’s fastest triathletes together in 8 iconic cities around the world, to compete for the chance to be crowned World Champions and precious Olympic qualifying points.

Since 2015, the global series has launched in Abu Dhabi – bringing 110 of the world’s best triathletes to race in the Capital, as well giving 2,600 ‘age group’ and junior athletes the unique opportunity to race on the same weekend, at the same venue as the pros.

In 2018, Abu Dhabi was also awarded the hosting rights for the ITU Grand Final 2022.

F31 delivers the marketing, social media, athlete management and grassroots programme, together with event owner Abu Dhabi Sports Council and promoter WORLDSPORT Arabia for the ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi, as well as working with the ITU on other events on their global calendar.


The event has won ‘Best Amateur Event’ at the Sports Industry Awards for two consecutive years.

Taste of the World, Riyadh

Taste Festivals launched the inaugural “Taste of the World, Riyadh” event in the Kingdom’s capital in November 2019.


The bespoke edition of the premier gastronomic festival series welcomed 14,000 cosmopolitan citizens to the capital’s Digital City to enjoy a line-up of 14 of the world’s best restaurants from around the globe boasting an impressive combined 13 Michelin stars.


Delighting Riyadh’s food-lovers with a stunning line-up of culinary visionaries, quality eateries, live acoustic music, masterclasses at The Fire Pit, and private dining at the Taste Residence, the impressive setting of Digital City reverberated to the sounds of friends and families celebrating the delights of exceptional creations from around the world.


With 15 Taste Festivals around the world, this exciting new addition was the first for the Kingdom and was commissioned by the General Entertainment Authority for Riyadh Season.


F31 delivered the marketing and content for the inaugural edition of Taste of the World, Riyadh.

On Running - Run Your Local Mountain

In 2019, On Running launched ‘Run Your Local Mountain’- a global concept to drive awareness of its new trail shoe - the On Cloudventure.

F31 has managed On Running’s marketing in the Middle East since the brand launched in the region in 2016. We were tasked with taking the global concept, and tailoring it to the local market to create a ‘big bang’ moment around the On Cloudventure.

The Middle East format was an invitational trail run – 10 teams, 2.5km relay, 2.5 hours, followed by a camp-fire BBQ and camping nestled in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah.

F31 fully delivered the event including the conceptualization, marketing, athlete communications and operations. The On Run Your Local Mountain was met with rave reviews, and is now set to become an annual fixture on the region’s sports calendar.
